Honey is high in a carbohydrate called fructose, which some people have problems absorbing. One simple swap is to use maple syrup instead. •

Again, I’m sure there’s a lot of different ways you could answer which one of these is better or “healthier” but from an IBS perspective I’d recommend swapping out honey for a few weeks to see how you feel!
